Text Box: other category on the navigation bar.
For example, you log vet visits by hovering over “Medical Items” and selecting “Vet Visits”, or you log Farrier visits by clicking “Add Farrier visit”.
But, let’s say you bought a new pair or riding breeches, like I did last week. I want to track what I’m purchasing that is not directly related to a specific horse, so I added a general item with the title “Purchased Apparel”. I added the cost, the location of the purchase, and then the brand name, color and size in the description field.
I have added all apparel I’ve purchased this way, so when I want to look back over a specific time period and see how much I’ve spent, or just a list of what I’ve purchased, I can hover over Text Box: Feature Highlights…

“Reports” on the left menu, then select “General Items”.  I can then add a date range, and limit the items returned by typing “Purchased Apparel” in the containing text input box.  If I want all purchases, I just type “Purchased” in the containing text input box, and if I want everything for the time period, I simply leave the containing text field blank.

When you are looking at the calendar, the general item title  will appear on the day it was recorded.  Click the title to open the details screen.

Using the General Item feature in this way makes it really flexible.

Track anything, whether it’s horse related or not!

Farrier Report

You can create a detailed report of farrier visits your horse has received during a specific time period.

Log your farrier visits as they happen,  or add past visits to build historical data when you are new to HorseLogs.com.

To generate the report, hover over “Reports” on the left navigation bar.  Select “Farrier Costs”.  To get a detailed report for one horse, select the horse from the horse drop down box and add a date range.

To generate a summary cost report for all horses, select “All horses” from the horse drop down box, and add the desired date range.  The summary report simply lists the horse’s name and the total cost of farrier visits for the time period selected.

HAPPY HORSE LOGGING!
